PatDown Browser Extension Terms and Conditions
[A] Installation and General Use Terms and Conditions:
By installing PatDown (the browser extension), either for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, you (the "user") agree to and acknowledge the following:
- the data provided by PatDown is from application programming interfaces (the "APIs") hosted by the United States Patent & Trademark Office (the "USPTO") and the European Patent Office (the "EPO")
- PatDown Co. (or simply "PatDown"), nor any of its owner(s) or agent(s), are in control of the APIs, but merely are provided access to the data
- the USPTO and the EPO control the availability and data that PatDown presents to the user
- from time to time, the USPTO and/or the EPO may disable access to the data made available via the APIs
- while PatDown seeks to minimize any downtime it can, PatDown does not make any guarantees as to the availability of the data
- the currentness of the data can be found at the USPTO's website (http://www.uspto.gov/) and the EPO's website (http://epo.org) (if you have any questions regarding this, feel free to email us at support@patdown.co)
- it is always recommended and users are always encouraged to use official sources to check patent-related data, especially when making any legal decisions or determinations
- all of PatDown's code, styling sheets, html pages, and images, unless otherwise noted, are copyrights owned by PatDown Co., except for the Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome logos
- PatDown reserves all rights it has in its copyrights
- PatDown may or may not enable automatic tampering and copying features that will notify PatDown of any potential unauthorized use, including any reproduction, distribution, or derivative work based thereon
- PatDown is a trademark exclusively used and owned by PatDown Co. and, as of November 2020, is being used in connection at least with software products, namely patent-related products

[B] Purchasing Terms and Conditions:
By purchasing one or more access codes from PatDown, you (the "purchaser") agree to and acknowledge the following:
- all of the conditions stated above under the heading "[A] Installation and General Use Terms and Conditions"
- as stated above, because PatDown is not in control or responsible for the data presented on its browser extension, the data may become unavailable to the PatDown browser extension
- if and when the data becomes unavailable, such as, for example, by way of the USPTO and/or the EPO discontinuing the APIs or requiring payment for use of the APIs, PatDown may no longer be supported
- if and when the data becomes unavailable, PatDown is not obligated to refund the purchaser for any purchases of the access code(s)
- if the purchaser misplaces the access code, PatDown is not obligated to provide them a replacement access code, but another access code may be purchased

While the terms and conditions are there to ensure PatDown and its users and purchasers are all on the same page, PatDown seeks to provide quality customer service and encourages its users and purchasers to reach out to PatDown with any questions or concerns at support@patdown.co
